OPEN POSITIONS

Zenith Technology Solutions is seeking a Scrum Master in Washington, DC to support our agile development practice focusing on U.S. Government sector clients. The successful candidate will have experience leading development teams and a strong background in application development with experience in a fast-paced team environment. Experience with more recent/modern languages, tools, methodologies and concepts are a must. Must be driven and focused on improving your skills. The salary will be based on experience and education.

This scope of this project will involve: 

• Requirements Gathering;

• Interface Development/Maintenance;

• Workflow Development; Integration/Automated Testing/QA;

• Application and System level designs modifications as per security requirements;

• Secure web service development to interface with other systems;

• Development, Modernization and Enhancement (DM&E) activities;

• Documentation;

• Review and feedback on the existing technical architecture and suggestion of updates and modification if required; and

• Supplemental Task Support, as required.

Example of Duties

• Coordinates and facilitates scrum meetings, such as, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives.

• Works with product leadership and the team to define relevant metrics that are formulated and utilized for meeting project objectives.

• Leverages team resources to improve capacity for project work while removing impediments and ensuring team productivity.

• Leads the team with such things as release planning, sprint planning, product and sprint backlog grooming, daily scrums, sprint reviews and retrospective meetings ensuring the commitments made are appropriate and uphold scrum principles.

• Actively participates in activities related to Agile adoption across the organization.

• Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and providing information

• Guides the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values and to self-organize into Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Desired Skills/Experience

• Agile Team Management & Development

• Experience in a DevOps environment with continuous integration and deployment

• Knowledgeable of secure coding best practices

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification

• PMP certification is a plus

• Project Management experience supporting Federal IT projects

• Experience managing teams of developers/testers/engineers in an Agile/Scrum Environment

Requirements

• At least an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Sciences or a related business/information technology field and two (2) years business/information technology experiences, or

• At least four (4) years of related Information Technology experience.
